Seven Notes in Silence: First-Ever Comic Strip On Sergei Dovlatov's Jazz Prose

For writer Sergei Dovlatov's 77th birthday, enthusiasts in his native St. Petersburg came up with first-ever comic strip based on Dovlatov's fiction - or non-fiction: his 1977 short story, Black Music, is in its turn based on a true story - that of pianist Oscar Peterson's 1974 concerts in Tallinn, Estonia, where Dovlatov resided at the time.
